..what a bitch!

A MELBOURNE woman has been charged after allegedly attempting to claim a $10,000 bereavement payout from the Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund by falsely claiming her father had been killed in the Black Saturday bushfires.
The 31-year-old from Sunshine, in Melbourne’s northwest, was arrested and charged by detectives from the Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit last night, for attempting to obtain property by deception.

Her $10,000 claim was rejected after employees of the Department of Human Services realised the woman had no relation to the deceased man she was claiming was her father.

I don't blog on news articles.. but after all thats happened with the bushfires in Victoria...

...whhhaat... a.... BITCH.

Horrible day

I've had better days.

On the way back home from the Microsoft refresh training at about 6pm...

Two trains we're cancelled so I waited at the station for like half an hour.
The train I was on had a brake problem so we everyone had to change at Hawksburn.
When I arrived, I realized my car had a flat tire so I called RACV.
The guy couldn't get the wheel off because he didn't have the key for my stupid rims.
The RACV guy called a tow guy who took it to my place.
Afterwards the car wouldn't even turn on so I began to shit my pantelloons.

Turns out it was just a security thing.. the engine is fine.
But my tire is still dead... and I have no key for the rims. That was my day... horrible fucking day. I've got no car for the time being. I sat down for the first time since work just now.

:'(

The Lost and the Damned TOMORROW!

I've been waiting for the first DLC for Grand Theft Auto 4 since last year. It's will become available for a $19.99 download on XBOX Live only (too bad PS3 people) tomorrow at 3am Eastern Standard Time.

The GTA4 'expansion' promises a 10 hour interweaving storyline with a new protagonist, Johnny Klebitz. I cannot fucking wait.

Thanks Rockstar. and Thanks Microsoft.
This is only the first of two DLC's for GTA4. All I can say is Bitchin' - and I never say bitchin'.

Dexter Season 3

Just finished watching season 3... two months late of the US...
and why is this worthy of a blog post?

Because Dexter hasn't lost it's touch even after its third season. The show is still as fresh as when it began.

If you haven't watched an episode of Dexter before... please, do.

Season 4 starts in the 4th quarter of this year.
:) Will be watching.

New 09 Album Releases

2009 is already shaping up to be a good year for music with a some awesome album releases. I've had time to have a good listen to the following albums, this is what I thought:

From beginning to end, this album is absolute sexsauce. (thats a good thing). Mr Oizo (pronounced Wah-zoh by the way) returns with his Avant-garde futuristic style of music, to bring one of my favourite albums of 08.
This is definately an album you have to absolutely love or absolutely hate.. and I really mean that. Upon the first full listen you'll either be thinking "Holy shit this is incrediblox" or "This isn't music".
If we lived with robots this would be their favourite album. 8/10

Franz and his friends are back to take us out... tonight... (cringe). Four years after the albums that had us screaming "TAKE ME OUT" and "Well.. do ya, do ya do ya wanna?" these guys are back to rock our jocks with 'Tonight'.
The album follows a very similar style to the past albums and definitely doesn't disappoint. On first listen, a lot of the tracks jump out at you including Ulysses and Live Alone. Anyway, this album was just released day's ago so I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more of it. 7/10

Mr Boratto is back after his collection of amazing and moving electronic 'Chromophobia'. He brought a very unique kind of minimal music to the stage... a type that was very happy and lively and was very refreshing compared to other electronic music at the time.
The question is, does his second studio album live up to the first? The answer unfortunately, is no. 'Take my breath away' has a few good tracks and is an overall pleasure to listen to but it lacks a lot of depth and doesn't leave a lasting impression. This album is slated for a March 09 release.. so thanks internet. 4/10

I was very late to jump on their first and previous album 'Dreams' (2006) - I got it after hearing the amazing Fred Falke remix of Golden Cage. To be honest, their first album wasn't amazing... some standout tracks but as a whole it was average.
'Rules' is slated for a March 2009 release so don't expect to find it on the shelves just yet. The question is, should you be looking forward to it? YES. This album is great - I'm actually listening to it right now and they really remind me of Cut Copy... but not as flat. Very catchy, very laid back, very sexy music. Thanks white boy. 7/10

Daft Punk won 2 Grammys?! What???

Yesterday were the Grammys. I heard the news this morning and I thought it was a joke. It's the first time Daft Punk have been awarded an American award.. and a Grammy at that. In fact, two.. TWO GRAMMYS. Here are the awards and nominees:

BEST DANCE RECORDING
Daft Punk, "Harder Better Faster Stronger"
Hot Chip, "Ready For The Floor"
Lady Gaga & Colby O'Donis, "Just Dance"
Madonna, "Give It 2 Me"
Rihanna, "Disturbia"
Sam Sparro, "Black & Gold"

BEST ELECTRONIC/DANCE ALBUM
Brazilian Girls, New York City
Daft Punk, Alive 2007
Cyndi Lauper, Bring Ya To The Brink
Kylie Minogue, X
Moby, Last Night
Robyn

I still can't believe it. I mean, Daft are 100% deserving and everything... but the awards people are a whole year late for the Alive tour CD... and 8 years late for Harder Better Faster Stronger which was released on their 2001 Album 'Discovery'.

Now, Daft, for the love of God... announce a new album. The world needs the next Daft Punk album.

I'm on a boat mother**cker

The guys from LonelyIsland ("Jizz in my pants" - best youtube video of 08) have released a new video. I'd never post this kind of stuff but this thing made me laugh so much.

I'm on a boat, I'm on a boat. Everybody look at me cause I'm sailing on a boat.
I'm on a boat, I'm on a boat. Take a good hard look at the motherfucking boat. :P

I know this is satire.. but just generally, T-Pain is balls.
..
(Thats a bad thing).
Look what you've done to Kanye.

Spent the night in Shepperton

Yeah... Shepperton.
Me and a cousin took a 12:50am train yesterday to the 42 degrees town of Shepperton to see his brother who is doing a placement in the Shepperton hospital for some crazy ear thing.

So yeah.. Shepperton.
The cab drivers there are all weird.

Blast from the Past #1

Back in 2004, I created a video using clips from the Spongebob movie depicting the characters using real life celebrities voices. A lot of the voices contained cursing and so I called it "Random Swearing Spongebob".

The video was my first on Youtube in 2006, and was an instant hit. The video got more than 10,000 hits in it's first 24 hours - but was quickly removed by Youtube for it's copyright infringement of Viacom International. It still shows up in my Youtube page (see below).

Anyway it's been on my computer ever since, so here it is again at Tinypic:
(It got rejected at Youtube again... as well as Vimeo and Daily Motion. This video is a Bermuda triangle - let me know if Tinypic remove it too)

Anticipated games of 2009

All of last year I didn't really have time to be playing games... the only game I really played to the end was GTA IV on the 360. It was a shame because 08 was a huge year for games.

Anyway, this year is shaping up to be just as big of a year. Here are the top 5 games I'm looking forward to:

(I didn't count GTAIV: Lost and Damned because it's an addon more than anything - otherwise it would probably be top 3)
