Toy Story 3

I grew up with Toy Story 1 and 2 so I was very interested when this was announced earlier for today.

It's slated for a release in mid to late 2010. Check the teaser here:

...was Buzz always THAT short?

Meaning of 'Next' Website

A few days ago the Hideo Kojima sector of Konami put up a teaser website to announce a new game or port (MGS4 to xbox 360 please God). The site can be found here: http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/next/

The site has changed once since then and has caused a lot of speculation as to what the announcement may be.

Since the beginning people have noticed the following things:
- When lightning flashes, you can clearly see 'April 2007' down the bottom
- The big flashing 5 (or S) in the background

I thought I'd do a bit of investigating to see what I could come up with.
First of all, by decompiling the swf flash file the site uses (found here: http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/next/frame.swf) I could export the border image which also shows the 'April 2007' down the bottom, darken it and isolate it with a green background (click the image for full size):

Furthermore I realised that the flashing 5 in that background and the extra storm sounds aren't part of the original swf file... it's a completely different flash file that is layered over the original...

That first change on its own, is located at:

http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/next/img/key_eah.swf

The interesting thing is, there will be 4 more layers added, the last of which should be the final announcement. These layers will be located at:

http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/next/img/key_ebb.swf
http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/next/img/key_ebg.swf
http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/next/img/key_ebi.swf
http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/next/img/key_fa.swf

And perhaps the most intersting thing is that last layer (according to the code) is dated to appear on June 1st... which is the day of the Microsoft E3 Press Conference.

For anyone who wants to do a bit more investigating, here is a link to the code found in the original swf in a txt file: http://www.zshare.net/download/601801817cc87da7/

Punch out is crazy awesome.

It was one of my top 5 anticipated games of 2009. And I just got it.

As a kid one of my favorite games on the NES (Original Nintendo) was Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. Since then I've grown about 12 years, Mike Tyson has become a douche and the Nintendo Wii has come out.

Equals:

I couldn't think of an idea to make this game any better and more nostalgia churning, even on the most idealistic day of my life where I had an automatic idea machine.

It's the most fun I've had on my Wii since I got it. The only downside.. like the original it's outrageously short.

I've been playing it for a day and I'm almost done.... still, good work Nintendo.
8/10 for nostalgia

Love the Oz

I've become addicted to a new TV Show. Technically it's not new, it's a 10 year old show but I'm loving it. It's my official Prison Break replacement.

Nothing's sacred on this show.. violence, gore, rape, racism.. they hold nothing back.
Love it.

Already up to Season 4. Can't wait til the end.

Another So-Me videoclip

The master behind the 'Justice - Dance' and 'Kanye West - Good Life' video clips is back with newcomer Kid Cudi's new videoclip.

It's been out for a week or so now but my net was capped so I only found out about it today.

Can't embed it here, but check it out:

It's well worth it.

Happy Birthday to me.

Still under stress with Uni assignments.
But today I can rest a bit.

20.

Gat dammit.

You know that time of year where everything starts piling up and the shit hits the fan?
And then rebounds off the fan straight into your face?

I'm going through that right now.. Lots of Uni assignments, study, family commitments.. all in addition to my working part time for Mr. Bill Gates.

This next week is literally going to be hell....

And then the week after that it's my birthday. Bang.

Where the Samples Came From Vol. 1

This morning I made a video about where popular electronic music artists get their samples. I'm hoping to make it a regular thing because I love sample work and find it interesting to see what kind of music the original artists we're into.

Vol 1 of 'Where the samples came from':

So far the video hasn't racked up as many views as my other vids. Which reminds me.. my youtube channel is almost at 1,000,000 total views. Bang.

Omegle Me

Don't you you love talking to strangers? I DO!

www.omegle.com is a new website that links you up to someone anonymous and random in the world for a chat. When you're done with the conversation one click connects you to another random person.

The idea sounds stupid but it's a hell of a lot of fun...

Check it out.

Moutz Happy Mix 2009

About a week ago I did a Live Set featuring only summery happy songs. The track list includes Royksopp, PNAU, Lifelike, Empire of the Sun and an original Moutz track :)

I'll post the full tracklist with the download in a new weeks. Cha:
